one of my first posts i made about the microcosm on cohost talks about the classic worldbuilding question "what do they eat". ive wanted to extend that for a while, but i haven't really been sure how... so how about we talk about our favourite foods?

🍫 I don't have an *objective* favourite - really, I like anything with candied barkstalk sap. If I had to choose one to eat for a day though, I'd go with... oh, gosh, I don't even know! Umm... 🍫 Monolyth makes a bunch of different cakes for the Dish. I mean, I love 'em all equally-- 🌺 Just Choose One You Ninny 🍫 Aha, okay, okay! 🍫 It'd have to be the chocolate fudge cake. Y'know, the one with the layer of fudge, like half a thumb's-depth thick, and the layered chocolate fondant? And the dense sponge! Not too dense, but still, dense enough that you feel the weight on the fork! 🌺 That Is A Weird Measurement System. Thumb-Depths 🌺 I Am Glad You Enjoy My Cakes Though 🌺 You Should Visit Today, I Made Caramel Shortcake 🍫 OHHH!!! Second favourite! Second favourite!

POWADER. EVERY. WHERE. 🛠 IT WAS FUNY THO I JSUT HAD 2 EMPTY DA FILTER EARLY LOL =⊖] 👾 LOL yup. but they tasted rly good!!

Ah... 💎 It is [strange/unusual], but [I/we] [prefer/enjoy] the common foodstuffs of [sailors/spacers/CANNOT TRANSLATE] 💎 Though nuchishakes are certainly [pleasant/tolerable], the supply aboard [Apollo/chariot/saviour] rarely [demanded/required] its consumption 💎 The [galley/mess] would serve [pleasing/remarkable] specialties [from time to time/on occasion/when able], but the standard meals were a [variety/selection/curation] to satisfy dietary requirements, [rotated/changed] every ship-day 💎 [My/Our] [favourite/most desired] of these was the Pallada-fish pasta 'bake', topped with Ultan grub-cheese in white sauce. [Those/Fools] who say the Galactic Standard is "[limited/cramped/flavourless]" have surely [gone without/been deprived of] this [delicacy/ambrosia/panacea] 🍫 That's a bit of a stout comparison, Merc. During the crisis? 🌺 To My Recollection, My Components Were, Yes 🌺 Of Course The Fusion Left Me With Only Fragments Of Their Memories 🌺 But - Yes - The Canteen 🌺 They Make A Mean Locust Burger.
